Before Meeting
Complete the pre-meeting tasks on the Participant Checklist.
Meeting Goals
- Review knowledge of geodesy field methods - GPS and SfM (be able to create a georeferenced point cloud)
- Review knowledge of GETSI Field Collection teaching resources
- Review best practices for geoscience field education pedagogy
- Set up structure for cohort communication and mutual support
- Work on specific implementation plans for each cohort member's particular teaching situation
- Finalize (or nearly finalize) implementation schedule for teaching geodesy field methods
Meeting Rooms
- UNAVCO Classroom - will be the location for all activities involving the entire group
- Other meeting rooms or outside spaces will also be used for work in smaller groups or with field equipment.

For Cohort 1 participants, there are no planned project activities Friday Nov 15 besides the travel to Boulder itself. Anyone in the UNAVCO area in time for dinner, is invited to join the PIs at 7 pm for an informal meal at [link https://www.elementbistroboulder.com/ 'Element Bistro'], which is across the parking lot from the Hampton Inn.
