As you prepare for the academic year, EvaluateUR is excited to share information about a new resource and reminders about requesting existing variants.
NEW: Student Open Access
Too busy to build EvaluateUR into your course or program? Point your students to it directly. Student Open Access (https://serc.carleton.edu/evaluateur/estudent/index.html) is set up and run by students themselves — no faculty or program coordination required on your end.
Once a student enrolls, weekly messages go out automatically prompting them to identify the knowledge and workplace skills they're drawing on, and to record their thoughts and examples as they go. By the end of the term they have their own written record to pull from when they're applying for jobs, graduate programs, and other opportunities.
Student Open Access is free and available now for Fall 2026. It works well for students in research experiences that fall outside a formal program, or anywhere you'd like students building academic self-awareness without adding to your own workload.
Submit requests for Fall 2026
Now is the ideal time to submit requests for fall quarter or semester. All are available at no cost.
E-CURE (https://serc.carleton.edu/evaluateur/cure/index.html) — options include a student-only scored version and a version for shorter-duration research projects.
E-Internship (https://serc.carleton.edu/evaluateur/internship/index.html) — for academic year internships.
E-Compete (https://serc.carleton.edu/evaluateur/ecompete/index.html) — for Baja SAE and other engineering/design competitions. E-Compete can be adapted as new competitions come up; if you have a team entering one and want to work out the specific outcomes, email me directly.
