Resources for traveling families
We understand Earth Educators' Rendezvous participants may be traveling with children. Unfortunately, the Earth Educators' Rendezvous is unable to provide on-site child care. However, there are many summer camps* to do in Columbia for your child to attend during the Rendezvous.
Here are some of the great summer camp options that Columbia offers:
- USC offers youth and teen educational adventures designed for academically talented students grades 4-12.
- Riverbanks Zoo Camp offers unique and engaging experiences to connect kids with wildlife
- Columbia Museum of Art offers a variety of unique camps to capture the interest of any young artist
- Escapology offers the opportunity to learn how to become a game master, build your own tabletop game, and learn about the props, storylines, and the technology behind Escapology's props and puzzles
- The South Carolina State Museum offers fun and engaging summer camps for kids ages 6-12. These week-long camps focus on a different subject each week including astronomy, art, S.T.E.A.M., robotics, and more.
- The City of Columbia Parks & Recreation offers a wide variety of summer options, including a Summer Kayak Camp (ages 8-12) the week of the EER
