For over twenty years, Emriver, Inc. has been at the forefront of designing and manufacturing high-quality stream tables and flumes. Engineered for durability and precision, our models provide a sophisticated, hands-on tool for exploring fluvial, hydrologic, and geomorphic processes. Used across a wide range of educational and professional settings—including schools, universities, conservation districts, civil engineering firms, fisheries, and museums—our stream tables offer a unique, interactive experience that brings the dynamic interaction of water and earth to life.
The StraboSpot database and applications enable collecting, storing, and sharing of geologic data across scales and disciplines. StraboField and StraboMicro are designed to help Geologists collect data and integrate field data with laboratory (thin-section scale) observations and associated data; StraboExperimental allows scientists to upload rock deformation data. The StraboSpot apps allow users to integrate images seamlessly into the database and attribute data flexibly. Developed with community input and feedback, the data system adheres to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) to ensure data consistency and accessibility.
The Mineralogical Society of America's mission is to diligently work on the advancement of mineralogy, crystallography, geochemistry, petrology, and promotion of their uses in other sciences, industry, and the arts. It encourages fundamental research about natural materials; supports the teaching of mineralogical concepts and procedures; and attempts to raise the scientific literacy of society with respect to issues involving mineralogy in the widest sense. The Society encourages the preservation of mineral collections, displays, mineral localities, type minerals and scientific data. MSA represents the United States internationally with regard to the science of mineralogy.
Established in 1976, we're located at the heart of the historic Horseshoe on the University of South Carolina's campus. Our collections date back to 1801 and provide insight into the history of the university and the community, culture, and environment of the American South.
SC MAPS (South Carolina Maps and Aerial Photographic Systems) is a standards based thematic curriculum package, focusing on the geology and geography of South Carolina, that interrelates landforms, historical development, economic trends, cultural diversity, and environmental concerns into an inquiry-based, interdisciplinary package.
By making the world's most reliable compasses, we inspire, educate, and support professional and outdoor field pursuits and envision a world where everyone can find their direction.
EarthScope Consortium (formerly IRIS and UNAVCO) is dedicated to supporting transformative global geophysical research and education. We provide free, easy-to-use tools for incorporating geophysical data into instruction, high-quality teaching resources (e.g. lessons, animations, etc.) for secondary and higher ed, and impactful student training programs.
