Code of Conduct
NAGT promotes, provides, expects and endorses a professional and respectful atmosphere and values a diversity of views and opinions. All participants in the Earth Educators' Rendezvous – including registrants, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, and staff – are expected to abide by the NAGT Code of Conduct.
Meeting location
The Rendezvous will take place on the campus of the University of South Carolina (USC) in Columbia, South Carolina. We will primarily be in the science complex, which includes three attached buildings: the Jones Physical Science Center ("Jones"), the Earth & Water Science Building ("EWS"), and Coker Life Sciences Building ("Coker").
Travel and accommodations in Columbia
Columbia, SC, is the site of a major airport and is within driving distance of many cities within the southeastern United States. USC and the city of Columbia offer a variety of lodging options at a wide range of price points. See the travel and accommodations page for information on getting to and from the airport, lodging, and parking.
Arrival and badge pick-up
Badge pickup is located in the lobby of the Jones Physical Science Center. The registration table will be open 7:30am - 6:00pm on Monday and 8:00am - 4:30pm Tuesday through Thursday.
You must check in at the registration table before attending any events, so please allow enough time before your workshop or event begins. Rendezvous attendee badges will be required to enter university buildings. Rendezvous staff will be available to let you in the first time you enter.
Connecting to WiFi
Visitors to USC must use the USCguest network. Locate the network in your wifi settings and fill out a quick form and you'll be connected - here's how. Have access to eduroam? You can access that as well - here's how.
Accessibility
The Earth Educators' Rendezvous is committed to providing universal access to our programming and supporting special accommodation requests to the best of our ability. Please check the box on the registration form if you would like a member of the Rendezvous/SERC staff to follow up with you to assist with accommodations that support your needs (e.g. accessible parking space, alternative formats, lactation room). Please note that we will do our best to accommodate your needs, but cannot guarantee we will be able to.
