Demonstration

I will have a laptop from which people can explore the pathways. I will also have small handouts with the QR code so they can navigate to the site themselves.

Abstract

The EarthScope ANGLE Curricular Pathways offer four different ways to approach learning related to geohazard topic: Instrumentation, Plate Tectonics, Earthquake Impacts, and Community Resilience. The specific outcomes depend on the pathway.

Context

Target audience is secondary teachers although elements can be adapted to introductory undergraduate. I use the resource in professional development workshops for teachers.

Why It Works

The resources offer a variety of ways to approach learning about geohazards that include analyzing data, understanding societal risks, and working towards resilience.
