NSF-funded ADVANCEGeo Partnership "Train the Trainers" Workshop

January 9-10, 2020 in Lawrence, Kansas

The goal of the Train the Trainers workshop is to develop a network of trainers. Participants will receive training in:
  1. Background and awareness of the prevalence and impact of hostile behaviors in the STEM workforce, including: implicit biases, microaggressions, sexual harassment and discrimination, bullying
  2. Bystander intervention
  3. Tools and strategies for improving workplace climate
  4. Workshop facilitation to implement their own trainings

Applications for this workshop are now being accepted through Tuesday, October 1st. Application review will begin on October 2nd and all applicants will be notified of their status no later than October 15th. **This workshop is open to all interested participants, however the emphasis will be towards participants in STEM fields.
