Save the Date: Train the Trainers Workshop

NSF-funded ADVANCEGeo Partnership "Train the Trainers" Workshop

January 9-10, 2020 in Lawrence, Kansas

The goal of the workshop is to develop a network of trainers. Participants will receive training in:
  1. Background and awareness of the prevalence and impact of hostile behaviors in the STEM workforce, including: implicit biases, microaggressions, sexual harassment and discrimination, bullying
  2. Bystander intervention
  3. Tools and strategies for improving workplace climate
  4. Workshop facilitation to implement their own trainings

Space is limited. Registration will open in late August/early September. Participants will be required to complete some work in preparation of the workshop.

Workshop co-hosted by the University of Kansas Center for STEM Learning ( This site may be offline. ) and the University of Kansas Department of Geology .


**This workshop is open to all interested participants, however the emphasis will be towards participants in STEM fields.
