Program Officer in UGP

We are pleased to share news of an exciting opportunity in the HHMI Undergraduate and Graduate Programs group (UGP). We are seeking to recruit a person who will join the UGP team as Program Officer. We are seeking a person who is a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion with substantial experience in academe in interacting with undergraduate faculty and students. The Program Officer will be an important part of our efforts to transform the culture of postsecondary science education to one that is centered on inclusion. The UGP team strives to create a diverse and collaborative team culture, and a key characteristic of the Program Officer will be their ability to effectively work both interactively and independently.

We have outlined in the posting the job's functions spanning the award cycle from competition management to program assessment. The educational requirement is a PhD (or equivalent combination of education and experience), preferably in STEM. The position will be located at HHMI headquarters in Chevy Chase, MD.
