JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Center for Science and the Schools (CSATS) seeks to hire a STEM Education Outreach Specialist with elementary level experience. This position offers opportunities to contribute to the development of high-quality programs in science education. The Center focuses on providing teacher professional development programs to connect STEM researchers and K-14 educators through workshop activities that promote current best practices in science teaching and learning. The specialist will collaborate with scientists and engineers to design, manage and implement STEM outreach activities that support teachers' learning of cutting-edge research and that include classroom and outdoor science activities. These collaborations include co-developing the program plan, writing broader impacts sections of proposals, generating associated budgets, and designing evaluation plans.
