Teaching Quantitative Skills in a Geoscience Context: A Workshop for Faculty Teaching Geosciences and Mathematics at the Undergraduate Level
July 24 - July 27, 2002
Carleton College
The development of strong quantitative skills is an essential aspect of undergraduate education. The goals of this workshop are to bring together mathematicians and geoscientists to examine their complementary approaches to teaching quantitative skills and to develop materials that advance the teaching of mathematics in a geologic context throughout the curriculum.
