Interviews with Teachers

Written by Deb Reynolds, Science Teacher, Northfield High School, Northfield, MN

In order to get a sense of what K-12 teachers are doing in their Earth Science classrooms, we conducted interviews with teachers from different backgrounds, different teaching assignments and different needs. We asked questions about their college preparation, how successful they felt in the classroom and what they would need to improve the students' understanding and interest in Earth Science concepts. We have chosen to profile six of these interviews.

Listen to the voices of these teachers.

Hear what they have to say about their successes.

And discover their concerns about teaching Earth Science.
