The final workshop report from the Fostering Two-Year College Collaborations with Disciplinary Societies workshop (which took place April 28 & May 5 and September 29 & October 6, 2023 with asynchronous summer check-ins in between) is now published.
The findings of the workshop also gained publicity by being published as an essay within the Mixed Methods Blog titled Building Stronger Collaborations Between Community Colleges and Disciplinary Societies. This insightful piece delves into the barriers hindering engagement between community colleges and disciplinary societies, such as financial constraints and cultural disparities. However, it emphasizes the mutual benefits and innovative strategies discussed to overcome these challenges, envisioning a future of enriched education through strengthened partnerships.
