One of the common complaints reported by two-year college faculty is a sense of isolation. Often, there is only one geoscientist on a particular campus and opportunities for interaction and collaboration with faculty who share interests may be limited.

NAGT is a professional society for geoscience educators and they maintain strong programs at the local level through their geographic Sections. There is also a interest group who are in the process of proposing an official organization within NAGT for those interested in two-year college education. Becoming a member of NAGT and participating in events in your area can be a great way to meet and interact with colleagues near you.
