Project EDDIE is excited to announce four upcoming webinars this spring. These webinars will cover topics related to instructors adapting and implementing EDDIE modules into their classrooms and how instructors can integrate publicly available data into their classroom. NAGT Webinar Series
Project EDDIE Webinars are part of the NAGT Webinar Series that addresses themes such as improving teaching and learning, addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion in Earth education, implementing the NGSS, strengthening your department, and engaging with communities and society. The first webinar in the spring series is Thursday, January 23 about Running a Good Webinar.

Using EDDIE modules for the first time - What you need to know

This webinar discusses what you need to know when implementing an EDDIE module for the first time. Jen Klug will discuss the strategies, tips, and EDDIE module adaptations generated by instructors that participated in the Project EDDIE Faculty Mentoring Network (FMN). The EDDIE FMN consisted of instructors meeting throughout the semester to discuss adapting and implementing EDDIE modules into their courses.

To better prepare the next generation of ecologists to conduct macrosystems-level ecology, educators across the U.S. are starting to integrate National Science Foundation's National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) data into their undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Participants in this webinar will learn how to integrate NEON data into their own classrooms, through Project EDDIE Macrosystems teaching modules, other NEON teaching modules, and through independent use of NEON data.
