Share your teaching and research - submit an abstract today

Today, March 8, is the last day to submit abstracts and proposals for the 2023 Earth Educators' Rendezvous Contributed Program!

Submit your abstract

About the Contributed Program

Many of us have interests in multiple areas of Earth Science education in addition to our discipline-specific interests, and the Rendezvous is designed to allow exploration of these areas in ways not possible during conventional scientific meetings. The Rendezvous Contributed Program is a critical component to this end and offers both a venue to present work and an opportunity to see what is going on in the Earth Science education community.

The Rendezvous is accepting abstracts and proposals for four types of presentations:

  • Oral Presentations - "Traditional" 12 minute presentations followed by 3 minutes for questions, with access to a computer and projector.
  • Posters - Poster presentations focused on visuals and conversations about your research and/or teaching activities.
  • Teaching Demos - Longer 20 minute presentations with access to a computer and projector, designed to engage the audience as participants in a classroom activity.
  • Share-a-thon - A round-robin presentation in which each participant will have 1-2 minutes to do a "lightning talk" with an overview of teaching materials or activities, followed by time to interact with attendees and answer questions in a small group format.

Learn more about the Rendezvous presentation types.

The deadline for abstract submissions is today, March 8! Submit your abstract.

If you have a Poster abstract or Share-a-thon proposal you'd like to submit but isn't quite ready yet, late submissions for these formats will be accepted until Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
