Registration is now open for this year's Earth Educators' Rendezvous!


The Sixth Annual Earth Educators' Rendezvous will be held in Palo Alto, CA from July 13-17, 2020, and is hosted by the School of Earth, Energy and Environmental Sciences at Stanford University. The 2019 Rendezvous was a huge success and we look forward to another exciting event!

Program

View the program here. Rendezvous 2020 features a combination of workshops, contributed talks and posters, round table discussions, plenary sessions, and working groups discussing a rich mix of topics. This year's Rendezvous provides special opportunities for:

  • Interactive multi-day workshops featuring evidence-based teaching practices, education research, and program design
  • Half-day mini-workshops featuring a variety of topics, teaching methods, professional development and career resources
  • A contributed program to share your work and learn from the community, including oral and poster sessions, teaching demonstrations, and Share-a-Thon
  • Plenary talks, forums, and roundtable discussions

Contributed Program

Participate in the Contributed Program . Let others benefit from your research, teaching ideas, and expertise! What better place to share it than at Rendezvous, which brings together researchers and practitioners working in all aspects of Earth education, including a mix of college faculty, graduate students, and K-12 teachers from all disciplines who are interested in improving their teaching about Earth. The submission deadline is March 2.
 

Travel Stipends

The travel stipend application deadline is April 6. If your institution has limited resources to support your travel to Rendezvous, you may be eligible for assistance from NAGT's Professional Development Fund. Stipends are awarded to applicants based on financial need and the potential impact on their participation. Maximum stipends are $500 and are for travel expenses only.
