Day 1 Q & A Summary

This is a running summary of questions that have come up so far. We'll also add to this issues that arise during today's question and answer session.

• Question: What do we do about giving credit for the authorship of the image we downloaded?
• Answer: When you upload your image to the SERC CMS, you should be prompted to choose an authorship/reuse option. Most of the images you use in this course will be under the creative commons license. That is the case for most images from NASA, NOAA, USGS, etc. unless a specific copyright is indicated. It is helpful if you indicate in your post where you got the image (such as Nasa's Earth Observatory).
