Director, CLEAR Center for Learning, Education, and Research in the Sciences (CLEAR)

Oberlin College seeks a Director for the Center for Learning, Education, and Research in the Sciences (CLEAR) funded by Oberlin College in support of Oberlin College's 2017 Inclusive Excellence grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI). The goal of the Inclusive Excellence project is to promote the persistence and success of all students in STEM fields. This is a full-time 12-month, Administrative and Professional Staff position with a competitive salary, starting in January 2018. Initial appointment is for one year with the possibility for renewal.

Required Qualifications
Background in science or science education beyond the Bachelor's level required. Candidates are expected to have strong interpersonal, organizational, and quantitative skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across the campus environment. A commitment to diversity and inclusion is required.

Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of current pedagogical literature and inclusive practices is desirable. A Ph.D. in the sciences or science education is preferred. Undergraduate teaching experience is preferred. Experience working in a multi-cultural context is desirable.
