Learn how geologic processes result in incidence of disease and sickness; explore the link between cardiovascular diseases and water quality; mercury exposure and Minimata disease, radon and lung cancer, etc.

Goals

Understand the geologic cycles and how they are responsible for concentration and dispersion of chemical elements and/or compounds in the environment--water, soil and air.

Classroom discussions; tests; written project report and oral presentations
