Introduction to MATLAB environment and basic programming skills. Emphasizes basic programming concepts, specifics of the MATLAB programming language, engineering problem-solving skills, and technical communications.

Best suited for students with little or no programming experience. Emphasizes basic programming concepts, specifics of the MATLAB programming language, engineering problem-solving skills, and technical communications.

Description and Teaching Materials

The seven labs are completed by the student outside of class over the course of the instructional term. Reading assignments and videos are used as learning activities prior to the labs and a problem set is completed after completing each lab to assess the learning objectives. In-class sessions focus on applying the concepts through engineering problem-solving.

Assessment
