SERC Welcomes New Project Specialist, Holly Kelchner

Holly Kelchner (she/her) joined SERC's Implementation Team in the new year as a new Project Specialist. Bringing a diverse research background, Holly comes to us from the Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research. She completed her M.S. degree at Louisiana State University and B.S. at the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau, AK.

As an oceanographer, Holly has worked on research projects all over the world, including Mozambique, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Antarctica. Her passion lies with the small plankton that support all life on the planet. Her research has primarily focused on understanding Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) toxins within the environment. Also equipped with teaching experience and extensive leadership skills, with her background in ecology, she adds a valuable perspective to the SERC team.
