Beverly Owens

Cleveland Early College High School

Mrs. Beverly Owens is a high school chemistry teacher in North Carolina. She also teaches online Earth and Environmental Science, and 8th grade science to fully remote students.

Mrs. Owens has over 16 years of experience as an educator, and is a National Board Certified Teacher, an NC Certified Environmental Educator, and received National Geographic Educator Certification. Owens currently serves as the Secretary for the North Carolina Science Leadership Association, and is a former NCSLA Science Leadership Fellow.

In her free time, Mrs. Owens enjoys learning about science and participating in field experiences. Owens’ teaching philosophy is to help students explore the world of science, and to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and explorers.
