Summary

This activity will help students to explore characteristics of microbes that live in the deep sea. This activity can be conducted as a jigsaw or research project, and can be used with face-to-face, remote, and hybrid students.

Teaching Notes and Tips

After opening the resource link, go to "file" and "make a copy," to secure a copy of the document that you can edit. Additionally, you can give students the link provided on slide 1, so that they can manipulate the slide.


Assessment

If used as a jigsaw, students can share out in small groups, and then record information on slides 3 - 8 regarding characteristics of different microbes.
