Web and document accessibility for SERC
Video captioning
This information is relevant if you are responsible for handling recorded meetings or webinars, uploading videos to webpages, or creating other video content for SERC. Not all staff handle video; those who do will need to refer to the documentation to learn how to create and include captions, while others should simply be aware of the function and importance of captions for accessibility.

When including video content in web pages or as part of a presentation, it is important to always add captions. Captions can make it possible for those who are hard-of-hearing or deaf to access the information, and they can improve the ability for people with cognitive disabilities or situational limitations to perceive and understand the content.
