Presentation Description
The Pennsylvania State University has a strong agenda and a solid foundation in transdisciplinary climate research addressing climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience and has invested in Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus as an important framework to promote international research collaborations. The Colombia - USA WEF Nexus Alliance was established in 2022 to engage a variety of partners in implementation of WEF Nexus projects and advancement of policy innovation for sustainable development and climate-resilient solutions. It addresses major challenges in Colombia by incorporating research, education, and sustainable development. It serves as a platform to build and sustain a community of researchers, provide technical infrastructure, coordinate partnerships, and integrate education at different levels. The Alliance currently coordinates transdisciplinary projects in four different locations in Colombia engaging partners from academia, NGOs and industry.
