Research and Research-Like Experiences in Science Courses

June 25, 2014 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Grinnell College, Grinnell, IA

This workshop will explore a variety of project types ranging from those that might take a lab meeting or two to an entire semester and engage participants in planning or improving such programs for their institutions. Participants will be offered some materials used in successful programs and be encouraged to offer their own (those that exist or those developed at or subsequent to the workshop) to assist in developing and improving programs. David Lopatto will discuss how projects can be assessed and present some tools for doing so as well as data for similar projects. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet computer.
