Faculty Development Programs Supported by Professional Societies
These profiles are expansions on the presentations given at the May 3, 2012 conference on The Role of Scientific Societies in STEM Faculty Workshops. They describe the current scientific society efforts to improve the teaching and pedagogical knowledge and skills of college and university STEM faculty members. In addition, two education researchers address some of the evidence of the effectiveness of these efforts.
