Meeting Overview

The geoscience education community meeting on April 15, 2021 is an opportunity learn about the Compass Project, an NSF-funded effort led by the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) at Carleton College to improve the discoverability of SERC-hosted science education materials. Currently, SERC hosts materials from over 120 geoscience education projects. Compass is focused on reducing infrastructure silos between geoscience education projects and helping educators better navigate the breadth of the collections.

  • SERC's immediate plan for improving resource discoverability
  • Means for providing feedback on the project strategies for supporting improved and broader access to resources
  • Ways to participate in testing and refining the discovery system
