Date and Time: Monday, November 1 at 11:00 am -12:30 pm PT | 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm MT | 1:00 pm - 2:30pm CT | 2:00-3:30 pm ET

Join NSEC and ARIS for a conversation on NASEM's new Call to Action for Science Education and theirrecommendations. NASEM is engaging a variety of science stakeholders to better understand how we might enact the vision of a K-16 ecosystem and regional approach to advancing science education.

Kerry Brenner, Senior Program Officer, Board on Science Education, The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, will provide an overview of the recommendations. We will then move into breakout rooms with a mix of centers in the ARIS and NSEC communities to discuss:
- The role of centers and the ways we might leverage this call to action on our campuses to advance the mission of our centers.
- Drawing on the expertise of centers to provide feedback to NASEM, what are the gaps, opportunities, and resources needed to take a regional and national approach to advancing STEM education.
