Description of Research and Implications for Participation:

As a participant in the Network of STEM Education Centers (NSEC) Tool Kit workshop, you will be contributing to the improvement of STEM education by strengthening STEM Education Center programs, as well as the STEM programs of Teaching and Learning Centers. This workshop is part of a four-year research project funded by the National Science Foundation (#1524832). This network's primary goal is to support individual centers and coalitions among centers. The overarching purpose of this research is to build a national network that provides capacity for multi-institutional/nation-wide approaches to transforming undergraduate STEM education within colleges and universities.

If you agree to take part in this workshop, all of the information you submit in the application and registration forms, the pre-work questions, the materials used during the workshop itself, and any follow-up questions (e.g. evaluation forms, follow-up surveys) will be analyzed as a data source. You may also be asked to participate in short interviews either in person or by phone.

This data will be incorporated into our research results in aggregate. Presentation of the material will be confined to project work groups, professional publications, and conferences. When individual quotes are used to illustrate important points, your name will not be identified. There are no foreseeable risks resulting from your participation. Your participation in this workshop is voluntary and you may leave at any time.
