Program Description

The New Mexico Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (NM EPSCoR) Early Career Leadership Workshop is an innovative 3-day intensive, residential program designed to enhance the professional skills of post-doctoral scholars in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The workshop uses interactive approaches to develop leadership skills that contribute to career development and success.

Program Goals

The goal is for participants to gain skills for communicating science, teaching effectively, managing research projects, mentoring diverse students, and securing funding.

This workshop is open to early career scholars in STEM fields from research institutions in New Mexico. Lodging, meals and workshop materials are provided. Space is limited to 20 participants.
