Seeking Candidates for UNIDOS HSI Center Director

About the UNIDOS Center for HSI Community Collaboration: The UNIDOS Center for HSI Community Coordination amplifies and coordinates the work of Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), particularly in all of the STEM and STEM education fields and provides support to continue to build capacity within HSIs. UNIDOS is a collaborative effort led by HSIs for HSIs, reflecting the rich diversity of HSIs and the communities they serve. The center aims to generate and disseminate new knowledge, successful practices, and effective design principles arising from research on and work at HSIs. The Center creates a network of HSIs, HSI PIs, prospective HSI PIs and key HSI partners that are connecting, communicating, and collaborating with each other to meet and transcend the goals of the NSF HSI program and advance the success of students, staff and faculty at HSIs. UNIDOS is housed at Florida International University (FIU) and led in partnership with: Valencia College, California State University, Sacramento, the University of Puerto Rico - Rio Piedras, and the University of Texas at El Paso.

About the UNIDOS Center Director Position: The UNIDOS Center Director leads the execution of activities designed to support connections; professional development experiences for faculty, staff, and students; resource development and curation; and communication through websites, newsletters and social media. The UNIDOS Center Director will work closely with the UNIDOS leadership team to determine the overall goals and strategy for the Center. In close collaboration with other UNIDOS staff under the Center Director's supervision, the UNIDOS Center Director will operationalize UNIDOS strategy and implement activities.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field and eight (8) years of related work experience or Master's degree in a related field and six (6) years of related work experience.

Desired Qualifications include 1) experience with managing large projects; 2) experience managing a team; 3) degree in a STEM field, and/or STEM education, and/or other experience in STEM education, 4) grant writing and/or grant management experience; 4) Working with geographically distributed projects

Advertised Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

Eligible for remote/hybrid work
