A. Faculty Development N/A
- Identify, design, coordinate, promote and deliver innovative and relevant faculty and staff professional development programs including but not limited to: short non-credit courses, workshops, or individualized instruction on course design, and active and collaborative learning strategies.
- Assist academic departments and faculty with course design and curriculum development to engage a variety of instructional delivery methods, and promote universal design for teaching and learning.
- Promote faculty scholarship of teaching, learning, and engagement.
- Foster faculty participation in national teaching and learning conferences.
- Lead teaching and learning initiatives, including promotion of strong pedagogical approaches, appropriate and effective use of technology.
- Convene faculty-learning communities, supported by Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. Promote the faculty center as a place for networking, mentoring, and sharing of best practices among faculty; and for promoting service learning.
- Oversee New Faculty Orientation, Faculty Seminar Days, and mentoring for full-time and part-time instructors.
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

B. Managerial Leadership
- Provide leadership in managing an institutional center; policy and strategic planning; fiscal management; supervision, hiring, training, and evaluation of personnel; and management of facilities and equipment.
- Determine, formulate and administer management policies and practices for creating effective learning environments including the use of innovative pedagogies, instructional technology, and new initiatives.
- Provide leadership for faculty/instructional development activities.
- Provide leadership and direction for Center staff.
- Provide leadership and coordination for faculty communities of practice.
- Work collaboratively with the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee.
- Maintain accurate program records to support grants, grant applications, accreditation, strategic planning, and annual work plans.

C. Assessment
- Participate in ongoing assessment and continuous improvement of teaching.
- Support implementation of programmatic and student learning assessment through departments and academic units.
- Promote and Support ePortfolio usage for faculty dossier preparation and student-learning outcomes assessment.

D. General
- Engage in professional development to stay abreast of learning theories, pedagogical, and technological developments.
-Participate in local, state, regional, and national professional associations, conferences, and
committees as appropriate.
-Present at appropriate regional and national meetings to raise the College's institutional profile.
- Research current trends and developments; exercise informed judgment; advise on new directions.
- Apply for external funding to support innovative programs and support faculty proposals related to teaching and assessment.
Experience and/or Skills Required

- Minimum two years teaching in college or university setting and five years professional experience.
- Expertise in Learning Management Systems
- Evidence of excellent teaching in higher education and engagement in research in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
- Experience in planning and delivering professional development training for faculty members.
- Experience in supervision of staff, supporting course design and re-design, instructional technology, and managing budgets.
- Demonstrated leadership and academic project management.
- Knowledge of and application experience with: outcomes-based curricular design and program development, student-centered learning and learning theories, and workshop/program development.
- Peer review of teaching.
- Knowledge of online learning and Quality Matters is preferred.
Education Required or Min Education Required

Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, Educational Leadership, or terminal degree in another discipline and equivalent experience in teaching and learning leadership is required. Doctoral degree is preferred.
