A simple model that can be used to route a flood through a reservoir.

Learning Goals or Outcomes

Students will develop an intuitive feel for how hydrographs change as they move through lakes, reservoirs, and stormwater detention ponds.

How would you assess whether those goals have been met?

Students will design reservoir to change an input hydrograph to an output hydrograph with specific, desired characteristics.
