Prospecting for Gold

Summary

Students design, implement and evaluate a prospecting program for potential gold deposits. The students have a exploration budget and a table listing the costs of each type of prospecting activity. They use this to design a program. In the next lab period, they give an oral presentation and hand in a written report on the geology of the region and their recommendations for the next step in development cycle.
