EarthScope Consortium
Donna Charlevoix is the Vice President of Engagement for EarthScope Consortium. EarthScope operates two facilities on behalf of the National Science Foundation (SAGE - seismology, and GAGE - geodesy). headquartered in Washington, D.C, USA. Previously she was the Director of Education and Community Engagement for UNAVCO, and Director of Science & Education Division of the GLOBE Program (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment), a NASA-sponsored, international K-12 science education program. Dr. Charlevoix is co-author of a university textbook: Severe and Hazardous Weather, An Introduction to High Impact Meteorology. She is an Adjunct faculty member of the University of Illinois in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences where she was on the faculty for 12 years. Her current research centers on science instruction and learning with a focus on atmospheric sciences and climate, as well as broadening participation in the geosciences. Donna has received multiple teaching awards, is active in governance of the American Meteorological Society, and serves on the Board of several science education non-profit agencies.
