Volcanic Eruption in My Neighborhood

Image Description: A few years ago, we got to witness Earth's processes more closely than usual when Pele emerged in our community. In Oceania, world view and science are intertwined. For example, the eruption of Kilauea is both observed by Western science methods and honored through chants and protocol. The cycle of destruction and renewal is part of everyday life on the islands.
