Resources for communicating science to policymakers

Please use this space to add urls or literature citations that could be resources for a future in-person workshop devoted to broader impacts of Scientific Ocean Drilling. We are particularly interested in materials that address aspects of ocean policy relevant to scientific ocean drilling or communication with policymakers.

Not specifically ocean related, but these links go to AGU resources covering engaging with policymakers as well as to sign up for policy news.

Similar to Lauren's post, my offering is not specifically ocean related, but I think this organization on policy, research and education is an excellent group. How can we connect ocean drilling research more directly/more creatively with K-college education? Educators are so much more than knock-off lesson plans buried in a website.

When Science Speaks has some great podcasts on effectively communicating science, including one with Jeremy Marcus, who were heard from in the panel session.
