Institutional Policy Change

As part of our cross-campus work to advance teaching evaluation policy, we identified policies on our own campus that had been revised or that needed revision. We drafted narrative descriptions of our institution-level policy change work in order to learn from one another's efforts. We then reviewed the collection of narratives to identify cross-cutting themes that we thought helped our institutions make progress in advancing teaching evaluation policy.

We identified four themes, which are presented here as advice for others interested in changing teaching evaluation policies on their own campus. Click to learn more about each theme and see examples of how the theme manifested at our colleges and universities.
