Background Information

I teach principles of economics courses at Collin College (Texas). My Ph.D. is in Public Policy and Political Economy from University of Texas at Dallas. The majority of my research focuses on education programs and economic development.

I have used Team-Based Learning (TBL) since 2015 with positive results including increased student engagement and learning outcomes. I frequently receive positive feedback from students since implementing TBL, and continue to develop and collaborate on effective application exercises that engage students. This project is valuable in continuing efforts to create and provide access to effective application exercises and increase the use of TBL in the economics classroom.
