Hi all!
Both Tuesday and Wednesday this week during the lunch break, please feel free to join us for our Campus Rock Tour (weather permitting)! This will focus on the considerations that went into making accessible versions of a field-based activity used here at USC; no prior geology knowledge necessary. We will meet at the registration desk at 11:45 am, with an anticipated departure time of noon. The total distance for the walk is approximately 1 mile, and will last approximately 1 hour. I'd recommend sunscreen and/or some way to shield yourself from the sun, like a parasol.
Each day we will end the tour next to a restaurant so you can grab food before the afternoon session. You do not need to eat with the group.
Tuesday: We will end the tour at the corner with Beezer's (subs), Tio's (Mexican; vegan-friendly, GF options, sit-down, EER deals), and Carolina Cafe (bagels, salads, and sandwiches; EER deals). All options have indoor seating with air conditioning as well as outdoor seating. Approximately 2.5 blocks back to the main conference buildings.
Wednesday: We will end the tour along the side of the historic USC Horseshoe at Garden Grill (burgers, sandwiches, and salads; cashless). This is USC's restaurant learning lab operated by students in the School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. Indoor seating available.
