12:00 - 12:15pm: Session Introduction - overview of the day, goals for the day, report back from Thursday roadcheck
12:15 - 1:15pm: Concurrent Sessions 1: Strategies for strengthening engagement and participation of community colleges and disciplinary societies sessions (mixed discipline groups)
1:15 - 1:30pm: Break
1:30 - 2:30pm: Concurrent Sessions 2: Strategies for strengthening engagement and participation of community colleges and disciplinary societies sessions (repeat of topical offerings from Session 1 with the addition of some affinity groups)
2:30 - 2:45pm: Break
2:45 - 3:50pm: Developing a draft action plan for your discipline - short plenary then breakout groups
- Breakout groups by discipline. Develop draft action plan with shared document template.
3:50 - 4:00pm: End of day wrap, looking ahead to next week, and roadcheck
Optional: Creativity Wellness Session - 4:15-5:15 pm ET
Asynchronous opportunities between Week 1 and 2 sessions
- Disciplinary action plan - review draft of your action plan and continue to work on it, revising as necessary.
- Look at introduction slides again - those in your disciplinary group and beyond. Use the comment feature to contribute to conversations via the slides.
- Virtual open access session using google docs -
- Look at the reports of interest to you from Week 1 breakout sessions and join the online conversation, asking questions, sharing ideas, responding to each other's comments
- Post suggestions to Jamboard about possible looking-to-the-future across-discipline collaborative working groups for Week 2

7:10 - 8:25pm: DEI, Disciplinary Societies, and Community Colleges: Partners in Progress - Dr. David Levinson is President Emeritus, Connecticut State Colleges and Universities. Dr. Levinson previously served as President of Norwalk Community College, Vice President of Community Colleges, and Interim President of Connecticut State Community College. He is the author of books and articles on community colleges and the sociology of education.
