Geoscience at El Paso Community College

Overview and Context

El Paso Community College is a five-campus institution serving around 35,000 students. Designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), approximately 95% of the student population is Hispanic. The geological sciences department at EPCC consists of 5 full-time faculty and more than a dozen adjunct faculty. and offers an Associate of Science in Geological Science. At any given time there are about 60 students who have declared a major with an average of 3-4 graduates per year.
