American Statistical Association

The American Statistical Association is the world's largest community of statisticians and the organization aims to advance research and promote "sound statistical practice to inform public policy and improve human welfare." See also the American Statistical Association Section on Statistical Education, which seeks "to promote the teaching and learning of statistics at any level for any audience."

Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education (CAUSE)

The Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education is a national organization whose mission is to support and advance undergraduate statistics education in four target areas including resources, professional development, outreach, and research.

The International Association for Statistical Education (IASE)

"IASE, the International Association for Statistical Education, seeks to promote, support and improve statistical education at all levels everywhere around the world. It is the international umbrella organization for statistics education. It fosters international cooperation, and stimulates discussion and research. It disseminates ideas, strategies, research findings, materials and information using publications, international conferences, and increasingly, this website."

The International Collaboration for Research on Statistical Reasoning, Thinking and Literacy (SRTL)

The SRTL, established in 1999, began "to foster current and innovative research studies that examine the nature and development of statistical literacy, reasoning, and thinking, and to explore the challenge posed to educators at all levels."

The International Conference on Teaching Statistics

"ICOTS history started in 1982 when the Education Committee of ISI [International Statistical Institute] decided to hold an International Conference on Teaching Statistics."

International Statistical Institute

The ISI is a global organization focused on statistics. "The ISI is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation and has consultative status by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations since 1949. Officially, the ISI was established in 1885, though the initial international gatherings of statisticians started earlier - back in 1853. Therefore, we are one of the oldest scientific associations still active throughout the world today."
