Workshop Description

Calling all geoscience graduate students and post-docs: want to spice up that cookbook intro lab? Interested in being better prepared for teaching demos during job interviews? Wondering what research can tell your students about becoming more effective learners? Want to drop some hints to your adviser about improving their teaching? Then join us for a workshop where we discuss the latest findings from research on teaching and learning, explore an extensive collection of instructional resources, and give you the opportunity to practice and receive feedback on your teaching. You'll leave the workshop with teaching strategies, resources for improving your teaching (and student learning), and a cohort of like-minded future faculty.
