Smithsonian Science Education Center Teacher Leadership Summit at Howard University
Feb. 23-25, 2017 a team from NextGen-WA attended a summit at Howard University designed to help teams from around the country attract, retain, and develop a diverse STEM teaching workforce.
The objectives of this summit were
- Create a logic model for attracting, retaining, and developing a diverse STEM teaching workforce
- Empower teacher leaders to be catalysts and drivers of systemic change
- Create a pathway for STEM teacher leadership within and beyond the classroom
- Foster a community of professionals committed to improving education for all students.
