These student materials complement the Coastal Processes, Hazards and Society Instructor Materials. If you would like your students to have access to the student materials, we suggest you either point them at the Student Version which omits the framing pages with information designed for faculty (and this box). Evolution of Coastlines

Your goal in this exercise is to demonstrate your understanding of the various coastal classifications that have been presented in this module as well as an understanding of the role that various coastal processes exert in coastal evolution and morphology.

The Assignment:

In this exercise, you are given 4 different locations on Earth. Using the geographic information and/or coordinates provided to you, each student must answer the following questions about that location. Be sure that you have the Grid Option turned on under the View pull down tab at the top of the Google Earth options as well as the Borders and Labels option.

Note: You will need to download the Worksheet linked below to do the assignments. You will turn these Worksheets in as a Word document to be graded. Download the Rubrics to see how the assignments will be graded. They will help you do your best!
