From our conversations while onsite at the Workshop, it was evident that the expenses related to many of the professional society meetings were cost prohibitive. With that in mind, why not network to do cost sharing? For example, it's time to not only submit abstracts to the GSA Annual meeting (deadline: 10 August) but also time to book conference hotels before sold out. Use this thread to initiate abstract collaborations perhaps...and even to indicate if you want to share a hotel to cut costs.
