Mission

The mission of the Minority Faculty Development Forum (MFDF) is to provide an ongoing mechanism to support the career development and retention of junior faculty and to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in science and engineering.

The Minority Faculty Development Workshop, sponsored by the Engineering Directorate of the National Science Foundation, is a primary activity of the MFDF. Other activities include building and supporting networks and collaborations, promoting exchange of ideas and best practices, and sharing resources.
